We had pretty specific requirements when adding a new dog to our family, as we have a senior boy who is quite timid. Because of that, we decided a young dog versus a puppy would be a better fit. Having reached out to several highly-rated breeders, Candyville Pups really stood out. Not only because of how responsive and open they are, but also because it quickly became clear how much they care about their dogs.
Cautiously excited, we made the two-hour drive to meet their 6-month old Goldador pups. The property is impeccably maintained, with the dogs’ care being top priority. We met with Katharine (the owner) and her daughter Bethany (who cares for the pups on a day-to-day basis; including socialization and training). The pup’s living space was spotless - they have an huge sensory play area and comfortable sleeping quarters. And, oh boy, they were all happy, well-cared for pups! We were introduced to all the pups and Katharine shared a little bit about each of them. Based on our requirements and the pups’ personalities, Katharine suggested we consider a sweet girl called Jade.
We had a wonderful meet and greet with Jade and were invited to take her for a walk. There was no pressure. Katharine answered all of our questions and had some for us - they really want to make sure their pups go to families who will give them a great life.

Needless to say, we were (and are) smitten with Jade. It’s only Day 3 and she has fit in so well. She knows sit, place and off and walks beautifully on the leash. Our old guy and Jade are getting along - she is respectful and gives him space. On the odd occasion she forgets, he reminds her and off she toddles to play with one of her toys instead!
